Piper's First Birthday Party

Tanner was invited to a birthday party a couple weeks ago. He had tons of fun experiencing new things. He ate pizza and cake, climbed up and around the gym equipment (with help of course), and even slid down a slide! It was so much fun to watch him interact with the other babies. He was the youngest one there, and any time one of the other babies would walk or crawl up to him he would just look at them like they were crazy. He still does not have much desire to crawl, but can stand up with support. He will lunge forward once in a while, but can't seem to do anything with his feet. We went to the doctor yesterday and he is growing steadily. He weighs 20 1/2 pounds and is 28 1/2 inches long. He is still free of reflux episodes, but continues to take medicine regularly.

Tanner's first road trip

We drove up to Kentucky for Spring Break and visited with Brenda and family. Tanner had lots of firsts. He met his first famous person (Crazy Cooter from dukes of Hazzard), he sat in a high chair like a big boy, he went to lots of museums, and played his first video game ... with lots of help (the Wii). We got to tour the army base where Brian works. I never realized how self contained those things are. Its literally a whole town on a base! We went to an arcade restaraunt called David and Busters and played $50 in games between the 4 of us. We got a bunch of tickets out of the deal and were able to get Tanner a big elmo doll. We call it his $50 elmo.
