My First Mothers Day

My first mothers day was busy. We spent the day running around preparing Joyce's (steve's mom) dinner and then celebrated with her. Then the cousins came over and played with my new toy. Steve decided to buy me a Wii to take care of the 3 important events that fall in the same weekend (our anniversary, mothers day, and my birthday). It will be this way for the rest of my life... not exactly planned.

We celebrated my birthday early b/c Steve always works late on Mondays. We went to a new restaurant in town called Rodizio. Its an all you can eat meat place and was enjoyed way more by Steve than Tanner and I. We met at Kate and Eric's house so that I could open my present from them. As I opened it, I saw some scrapbooking supplies and a page that said St. Augustine with a little ghost on it. Kate and Eric are taking me on the ghost tours of St. Augustine. What a fun present! Thanks a million guys!

I have had a year full of firsts, but the most important has been my first born child. I'm so grateful that Heavenly Father has blessed me with the sacred opportunity to be a mother and to share that calling with my wonderful husband Steven! I love my family with all of my heart.

Our First Camping Trip

The 4th ward elders quorum organized a family camping trip at the state park near Panama City Beach. Not only was it our family's first camping trip, but also Tanner's first trip to the beach. I'd love to say he had a blast on the beach, but he told us the water was way too cold for him. He had fun playing with baby Lucy and the rest of the Hale kids in the sand and watching Elmo's World in the tent. I think we might make this an annual event!
